It was a fun little trip to Mesquite for the Fall Classic. I managed to stay away from the tables (for the most part), and played some pretty good golf. I hadn't played much (hardly at all) since tour school, so I was happy with my play. 72-66 left me tied for 6
th, not bad. I had a fun team of guys from Phoenix, and though we had fun, the team missed the money.
I actually hit the ball better the first day, but the greens on the first course were not in good shape. I only made two birdies (par 5s) and missed a couple of short putts for my only
bogies. I had a ton of chances, but couldn't convert.
Day two I just played solid golf and was able to make the short putts that I didn't on day one. The greens were much better on the second course, so that had a lot to do with the lower score. I had no
bogies (always very nice), and it was just a stress-free, easy round.
Back home now. Not really sure what is next, but I'm working on it. Should know soon, and there are quite a few tournaments starting at the first of the year.
